Riccardo Meggiorini must be some kind of talent. Looks like he has just signed some co-ownership deal with Genoa with plenty of clubs interested in him. As for Aussie Valeri I can't see him signing, plus I don't rate him as a star midfielder. Refer to palermo blog for comments on Aussie Bresciano who would still rate better than Valeri.

Allegri is on holidays in Greece. Heres hoping Cellino has sense and we keep him. 5 million for a coach half way through a contract is some serios coin and I'm worried that Cellino wants to fill his wallet.

Good news is Larrivey will not be staying!

Lopez and Fini have renewed their contracts - 9th June 2009

Cagliari will be paying 2.5 million Euros to Albinoleffe for the remainder of Marchetti's contract. This is obviously good news but still does not gaurantee his services for the season.

Canini has had no interest so will be almost certainly staying

Ferdinand Sforzini (on loan Avellino) owned by Udinese. From all reports Cellino wants him at all costs.

Daniele Dessena has said in the press he wants to play for Cagliari.

I still think its 50/50 on Allegri returning. Money and status talk and the right big club can still lure him and if Cellino will let Ballardini walk, he will let Allegri walk.

As much as I would love to see Bobby stay, the odds are long. Genoa does not want him and he will go out on loan. If he cant play for a big club, he will want a new challenge with a different team as he will feel stagnant in Cagliari if it is on another loan deal. We were lucky to get the second full year of him even if we are the perfect place for him right now. His stupid ass agent does not see that and Bobby is a follower so he listens to what his agent says. Now is the time to buy him out right as his price will never be lower and Cellino should spend some money here if the opportunity comes. I think he ends up in Napoli if Genoa lets him go out. Coming back to Cagliari is being overly optimistic.

Transfers to early to tell. If Larrivey sees the field for us again, we are in trouble and clearly not bringing in any talent. Im still waiting for that Australian dude to sign, but those rumors went away as fast as they came. I think its too early to tell if we are actually favorites to get anyone who is not simply roster filler. Give things some time.

It would be an understatement to call Bobbys agent a fukwit as that would be an insult to all the fukwits of the world. Atalanta looks like they are in the front running for the boy maestros services. Allegri WILL stay on for another season if you belive the Cagliari Calcio official website. Lazio are sniffing but they are one of the 7 clubs in financial dissaray. I doubt they will pay out the contract which is till the end of the 2011 season on a coach.

As for our summer transfers here is the early mail:

Paloschi on loan to Parma (AC Milan), will be part of some deal. Dont be surprised if Matri is involved.

Succi (Palermo) Dodgy rumour being reported on Tuttomercatoweb. We simply do not need him.

Riccardo Meggiorini (Cittadella) a 23 year old striker with 1 Serie A appearance when owned by Inter. Ironically that single appearnce was against Cagliari in 2004. There is some substance to this rumour as it has also been reported on TribalFootball.

The Joke Larrivey (on Loan in Argentina) The boy is coming back. The less said the better!

Emanuel Calaio (on loan Siena) owned by Napoli. Another youngish striker at 27. Dont know enough about him to comment although the club talk is all about his footspeed.

So Allegri's really going away? Although if that's the case I wouldn't be too worried about Cagliari since Cellino has a good eye for coaches.

I dont know that Acquafresca was actually part of that Milito/Motta deal. There has not been much in the way of concrete news about that whole thing.

Jeremy, what is the word on Bobby?

Is it possible that you lot could get Acquafresca for another year on loan from Genoa (as it doesn't seem that they'll be keeping him), or maybe try to sign him outright?
