Cellino: Respect My Authoritae!!
By: Jeremy | January 26th, 2008You people need to respect Cagliari. We arent a “shitty” team as one other reader called us. You think we will just give Foggia away to Palermo or some other team for nothing? Get real. Despite what everyone thinks, his bags arent packed and ready to go. While he clearly cant get along with his teammates and acts in an insubordinate manner, he is our best player and we have final say when he leaves. Lazio may own him with us, but he is a Cagliari player and cannot go to another team without us allowing it. Believe it or not, he wants to stay here…..
….Oh sorry, I thought I was Cagliari President Massimo Cellino for a second.
Anyway, back to reality. Cagliari still thinks its too early to throw in the towel, and it is great Cellino is trying to light a fire under Foggia and his club, but I think he is well aware that Serie B is looking his club square in the face and he cant decide what to do. One minute he wants to transfer Foggia to bring in some youth who can be vauable in the future, the next minute he wants to fight to stay up and shows this by buying players on the cheap who arent better then what he has, which says a lot. When you have dug yourself such a hole because you refused to spend for talent, this is what happens. Uncertainty, Indecisiveness, and Rants of Confusion.
This behavior also sinks in on the fans. One minute I think Foggia is staying and the next minute I think he is being transferred. I know this gives me a lot of credibility with those three people(hi mom dad and Martha) who actually read what I write.
The bottom line is our team President is delusional and crazy. He needs to sell the club before we end up playing darbies with Sassari Torres on a yearly basis.

I’m here, I’m here! (This is the best headline I’ve read all week, if that helps at all with the misery.)And I might watch your boys tomorrow, if only b/c they’re playing Napoli.
I totally accept that it would help to spend, but do Cagliari have the money? Or, rather, does Cellino? I mean, is the wage bill so tiny because it has to be that way, or just because he’s cheap? Both?

I agree about Inter. If I wasnt somehow a Cagliari fan(damn those boat trips to Sardinia), I would be all over Inter as a Milan supporter.
