We got our points back!
By: Jeremy | March 26th, 2008Ill keep this short, but just to let everyone know who cares, and that should be any team who is facing relegation, the Appeals court overturned the federations ruling and the three points they took from us because they thought it would not have mattered anyway, have been restored. We now have 28 points and jump over Empoli and Reggina. When was the last time we werent at the bottom of the table? This was the deserved result as the results should be decided on the field and nothing was done by Cagliari to change the on field results to warrant such a deduction. We are now solidly in this relegation fight and Torino and Siena, I hope you are sweating a bit as you now must look at relegation with the rest of the teams.
Some other good news is that Roma has three good players suspended this week and Totti may not play because his knee is hurt and they want him for Manchester. This could be a 6 point week.
Rejoice Cagliari fans!

Mate, How good was that. The reinstation of the 3 points has just made my day. On the back of my beloved yet injury ravaged Socceroos nil all draw yesterday with China I will take these 2 results any day. The result also higlights the importance of a win against Roma on Saturday night and a win in the later rounds against reggina may be the difference between survival and relegation. My money will be on Empoli, Reggina and Catania taking the drop.

[...] non-slouches Atalanta, Torino and Genoa. And now the cherry on top of the creamy vanilla sundae: they’re getting their three points back. The big wigs bigger than the FIGC, the Federal Court of Justice, has decided that Cagliari’s [...]

Congrats, though I am a Parma fan in the first place, I just wish that both Cagliari and Parma keep themselves in Serie A… It’d be really bad if Acquafresca had to play in Serie B

Acquafresca wont be playing in Serie B next year even if Cagliari goes down. The hope is Cagliari stays up and we get him for one more year before he ends up at a big club. If we are relegated, then he probably goes back to Inter and a deal will have to be struck for Cagliaris half ownership which in itself could be interesting as Cellino could do anything.
