Winning Ugly

Is there ever such thing as a bad win? I have never seen one, but this kind of game is as close as you can get. The bottom line is we got three points and the team is in a position to play some matches that can really determine if they can finish in a European position. This possibility is beyond anyones imagination.

Not much to say about the Siena game. Acquafrescas goal was quite lucky as he was in the right spot on a bad clearance and he mishit it but it still went in the goal. Lupatelli, filling in for Marchetti, showed his rust, but made a couple of decent saves. Sienas threats were minimal and if we were playing any other team in Serie A, I think we lose that game. Siena makes you play like crap and I am amazed they have 25 points. I had them pegged for relegation.

Next up is the match with Juve who just got beat by Udinese. We can come in relaxed as nothing is expected from this road game. That is when we seem to play our best and the team has to look at this game as the one where a result gets us in to serious conversation about playing in Europe.

For now, be thankful for the win, and while it was ugly, remember that good teams win these kinds of games. This could be an indication that this season could turn out to be really special.
